GIANT OUTDOOR GARDEN ATTRACTION

Consultant’s position: Team Leader, Event Marketing
Client: Champs de Rêves


I served as the Team Leader of Event Marketing for the launch of a new giant mosaiculture garden and horticultural attraction in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec.

The gardens were conceived as a way to delight nature lovers of all ages and inspire people to be creative with their own homes and gardens.

The Grand Opening of the Lavender Fields and Dream Gardens took place at Champs de Rêves on July 2nd and 3rd, 2016.

Project Team:
 
I recruited and supervised the following personnel:
  • Communications and Promotions Coordinator (1)
  • Press and Media Relations Coordinator (1)
  • Logistics, Artists and Events Coordinator (1)
 
I worked and liaised with the following project collaborators:
  • Champs de Rêves: Director (1), staff (6), artisans (4)
  • Entertainment: Musicians (5)
  • Consultants: Drone operators (1), graphic designers (1)

Project Management:
  • Established work priorities.
  • Conducted market research and analysis.
  • Wrote budgets and expenditure reports.
  • Provided client with business analysis and brand strategy.
 
Event Management:
  • Compiled statistics.
  • Researched and purchased materials, services and supplies.
  • Drafted planning documents and schedules.
  • Recruited and supervised personnel, provided customer service to visitors.
  • Coordinated with diverse staff, artisans, musicians, drone operators and graphic designers.
  • Wrote, edited, proofread, designed and translated communications documents and marketing materials.
  • Directed marketing, press and media campaigns, logistics, documentation, translations and communications.

  • Total attendance on 2016/07/02 - 2016/07/03 = Over 3,500 visitors
  • Updated and standardized the client’s on-line profile to reflect the business’ new corporate identity
  • Facebook event (1): Interested: 3047 | Went: 722 | Invited: 2079
  • Facebook Ad campaign: Duration: 2016/06/17 - 2016/07/03 | Results: 497 event responses | Reach: 37,399
  • Successful marketing and press strategies enlarged the clients' audience base, improved the company’s on-line presence and attracted significant visitor attendance to the site on opening weekend.
